Lol has such the artist eye. I loved how the film begins, scenes of the misty morning with nothing but the sound of birds, to start, and then the gentle music begins. Changing views around your landscape, reminding us of what we here in No America call "The Old Country". From whence most of us here once came. My maternal grandmother was from Scotland, and also pronounced "scone" with a soft 'o', like you, Terri. Here in U. S. and Canada, it is pronounced with a long 'o', harsher sounding. I, like my mum and Scottish grandma before her, often make biscuits or the richer scones, and love them sweet (but with little sugar) or savoury. It's fun to see you puddling about in your darling kitchen, watching the playful pets on your stone floor, listening to the music in the background. Thanks again for my Sunday morning treat -- you and yours!
Thanks Anne. Lol started out just helping me by holding the camera if I was making something and I think he is now an excellent filmer and editor. It is interesting how we come to be good at things we had never thought of. xx
Your videos are shot so beautifully! The moodiness of the landscape, the gorgeous sky and rainbow, the dogs playing in the kitchen, the bird in the bushes are all so lovely. Thank you. And thank you too for the recipes. I made a huge batch of black current jam a few weeks ago and there is still more fruit in the freezer. I also made raspberry rhubarb which if you haven't had it is fabulous. Blessings to you all!
Indeed, I too look forward to your share on Sunday mornings. Snow flakes falling here. It’s nice to be in your warm kitchen of nourishment. Thanks Terri and Lol!
Yum Yum great film!! I was set to make scones this morning and then we had a water outage so pass until the main is fixed. Love this channel and the lovely pets that make a house a home.
The only sanity there is now, Sunday mornings with you and Lol and the critters. How strange it is to have one foot in chaos and one foot in such deep comfort!
It has been so cold for weeks it just broke the main pipes. Have a trickle today. Come on spring. The wild birds are crazed for something to eat. I get fat from my local meat store in exchange for homemade bread and veg soup. Anything to get warm.
Yes, isn't it one of the fun things about life? I love to learn new things too, and am often delighted to see where it leads me. You two have come up with such a great combo I think, between your discussing what you are 'up to'; in the garden or kitchen, or with your learning or teaching about herbs. Between his camera work and timing and your own, I think you have combined it pretty seamlessly. Like baking your scones, it comes out pretty sweetly!
Mouth watering recipes!
Of course, always 'helped' by the music and the dogs and cats.
Terri, your Sunday morning 'show' is my morning coffee delight.
Now, I have to make some scones!
JOY! and thank you again.
Thank you Suzannah, hope you enjoy the scones xx

Thanks to Lol for the filming - he is getting very good at it. Rhubarb and Raspberry in combination? Sounds delicious, I will do that after harvest xx

That's life these days, gtotally surreal! xx
I use half the amount of sugar. My hubby is Diabetic II.
You could use Xylitol as it sweetens without affecting blood sugars xx
Love a scone and homemade jam. I hope Lol gets a scone too XX
He did indeed. xx
