Hello Terri, so have you heard of Chance Piedra ? I learned about it many years ago from a company called " Anima Mundi " it's a herb found in the Amazon rain forest.

Its nick name is " Stone breaker ", its is traditionally used to support kidney and gallbladder health. Here is the link for you so you can do your own research https://animamundiherbals.com/products/chanca-piedra-liver-cleansing-tea?_pos=9&_sid=a3501be54&_ss=r This was a little write up in one of their many blog posts you will find interesting regarding Chance Piedra = Chanca Piedra (Phyllanthus niruri) - Organic, grown in Mexico or Peru (depending on the season). Stone breaker, Amazonian cleanser and antiviral, this powerful medicinal herb is endemic to the Amazon rainforest. For generations, it’s been used to treat kidney stones, viral and bacterial infections, malaria and other tropical parasitic diseases, as well as diabetes. It provides strong anti-inflammatory, liver- and heart-protective properties, and helps modulate the immune system. I keep a jar in my Apothecary as you never know when you might need it. I can attest to the fine quality of the Anima Mundi products, I have been using them for years. I hope this info helps you and also may be teaches you something new regarding the plant medicine from overseas. Sending hugs to you xx

Oh wow, Terri, that sounds quite horrible. I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been through, but really glad to hear you’re on the mend!

Yes, health is everything and so precious to look after.

It sometimes shocks me that people like you and I, who are quite health-conscious and try to make really good choices about our lifestyle/diet/natural remedies, can still get into such physical trouble. But that’s life for you, I guess.

All the best for your further — hopefully speedy and full — recovery!

Much love from Sligo, Iona

I think you are right - that is what causes the shock. But thanks to our life styles and diet we can recover quickly. I've made some changes and I am already feeling the benefits. Love to you and the homestead xx

Rest is best. Hippocrates emphasized the importance of rest and recovery in health and healing. He believed in the concept of bed rest as a therapeutic treatment, suggesting that extended periods of rest could aid recovery from illness and enhance vitality. He knew that convalescence was the bridge that connects the state of illness to restored health once again. We will still be here when you are ready to resume.

I completely agree, I think it is barbaric that people have to rush back to work before getting over an illness. In the long run it doesn't make any sense. Thank you Chris, I hope to be full of vitality after my lovely rest xx
