This resonated with me strongly, Terri, thank you. Being in the U.S., I experience what you describe. I struggle to put it into words, the desire not to focus on the fear and anger and despair, especially to the people around me who are talking about it almost constantly. The air is thick and dark with it.
You've expressed what I know it true, that we can do more for the world by staying informed but detached, and sending out as much love and light as we can. And I'd add, to figure out how to send more and more! 🙂 THAT will be my focus. How can I show up as love and light today?

Terri the way you reframed how to be aware of what's happening vs reacting to what's happening is the answer for now. Because what's happening is worse than I ever thought and as an American I am so ashamed of the destruction and imperialist nonsense that the so called "government" is doing. Like you I am working on being in a heart space and finding my community (including Danu!). I just finished a novel that really struck a chord--it's called Lilith by Nikki Marmery. Highly recommend! Watching your videos is a highlight of my week. Thank you for giving us this space for a bit of respite. And you are right--we are all in this together!

Right now, I am working with Brigid as alchemist - to alchemize thoughts, feelings, and actions into intention, grounding, centering, and more. I know "alchemist" is not her traditional role, but it was recently shown to me during a dream. It has been helpful as I lovingly hold space for patients, family, my kitties, and even myself.
Thank you. I have felt drawn to work with Brigid, but haven't been quite sure exactly how. I am going to focus on your powerful ideas of alchemy and see where it fits for me.
I think spiritual leaders such as Brigid probably continue to grow, expand, and evolve, so it makes perfect sense to me that they wouldn't stay in their original, smaller roles.

I actually bought a couple of books from the HeartMath Institute after learning about them from Gregg Braden. I have very much more hope after how our elections turned out this past year (in the USA) and all the people who came together (despite the insanity that was going on) to change thing for the better. A lot of evil and corruption is being exposed (and disposed of - thankfully). Things are changing for the better here and are starting to have a ripple effect, unfortunately I doubt you're being shown the good things that have been happening here the past month alone - but you will see the ripple effect soon! I am afraid of all the AI moguls standing behind Trump. Total surveillance I am afraid is the next step with this. We are seeing the shinny things happening but..... the rich always have something they want from us. They don't really work so someone has to do it for them. The clean up is wonderful and something the taxpayer has wanted for a long time and been powerless to make happen. To think I worked 2 jobs to make ends meet for decades while they did this with the money. Yes, that can make a person angry. Now is the time to send the strongest positive energy possible to support more life affirming action.
The total surveillance is what was already happening with the previous administration. Did you get updates from your bank on what you were spending your money on?! Posts that didn't get published on social media? That was happening - it happened to me on a regular basis. They've already exposed and stopped more of this. This administration is rich people who owned companies to make their money, not money laundering from taxpayers like years past. This isn't a battle of the haves vs have nots, this is the battle between Good and Evil and Good is finally winning!
So right and well said, it is important to remember that we 'like minded folk" are powerful in so many ways..We come from far and wide, we are and will continue to be a constant threat to all who think they are in contol...Let's continue doing our thing..,observe, wait, and when you find your community or tribe.. keep hold, keep creating and keep strong. Your write up is so perfect. Fear cannot live in the same space as love. The music with the video by Lol makes me think I would love to buy a whole album of his heart music like he played during the talk. So uplifting. Something I can down load because I still like my CD's but seems I am being phased out (laugh a lot). I just went back to hard line phone to avoid the negative that comes with the new electronics also hard wired my wifi internet with an ethernet cord. That is a biological downer. We are electrical beings and all this "smart" is hard on our health.
When we touch in with our heart and love and think of that the huge energy battery "the human being" is comes forward. This is the space we can self heal and offer healing for others, plant animal world Earth. We have been cut off from that by cultural stuff as crazy talk but can awaken the highest we are and what a joy it is. The arrogance of these ivory tower rich people are nothing new but they do want us to be disempowered, angry, ignorant, worn down and controllable. We must support each other and allow children to have open minds and hearts because they are under assault as we were. That is why I chose to be a private school owner and teacher for 40 years. Save the children and animals because we are stronger as seasoned adults. I am thankful I was my Grandchildren's first teacher. I did not make tons of money but oh what a wonderful way to spend my breathing life. Live simple live well. No judgment and compassion are creative activities for the mind. Dancing on the earth is great! Music of the right sort (Lol)feeds the soul. I just bought a Pan drum and can hardly wait for it to get here. Something for the non talented

Of course there is much to what you say Terri, and for the most part I do agree. Besides, I think we need to be somehow trying to find that tenuous balance between being aware of what is going on in the world, and politically -- and at this time it is important to be aware. We don't want to be ignoring threats like Hitler-esque types and fascism is on the rise world wide. However, we need to be careful of the polarization that can and is occurring. Here in the U.S. we really really are seeing that. Keeping love in our heart is essential, I feel that too, and putting that love out to the universe. However, the dangers are not just existential. Many are losing their jobs or threatened with it here, many are losing the health care and benefits they worked years to get, and who knows what may be next. So the balance between awareness and standing up for what is 'right' and true at the same time as not getting brought down to the nasty levels of those that would rule us. I agree, we need to find our path to also escape and get breaks from it all, which has gotten so difficult. To my mind finding the muse through art, gardening and the like is the same as meditation. All of it is putting us out of our over-thinking brains and into a better and more loving and helpful space. Sorry this is long, my daughter has been visiting and she and her partner are in danger of losing the jobs they schooled for and have loved so deeply. So the threats, are real. but so is the love, and finding our own paths -- including yes, protesting -- for helping to make the needed positive changes. You may know that astrologists have been telling us we are going through a period of terrible crisis and chaos to bring about change and ultimately much better - as some tell us - we are coming into the Age of Aquarius, finally. But first, upheaval. Be strong, and be of good heart, and find your tribe, is how I am working on it.
