Lots of great info about that most ancient plant, horsetail! We have it here too, but since it likes a lot of moisture in its ground, it doesn't grow in our gardens. We're high on a hilltop, too dry for horsetail. I think they used to call it scouring weed or something, re it's ability to clean metal pots and pans. One of the uses I had heard about when I was quite young. And it's other many properties learning of later. You are a fountain of herbal knowledge, Terri! I so enjoyed your pets once again, and the focus on Brock with his ball had me chuckling away. Happy Easter, a holy weekend for many belief systems it seems, though I too was brought up on the Easter side. Now, as grandparents with teen grandkids who are not near, we invite others without family over for a lovely festive meal. Wishes and blessings to all, and excuse to enjoy one another and come together in these troubled times.
Well I like my computer. I agree with her on much, but I think our generation often can be reluctant to change to new technology. I remind myself to take what I personally value as a tool, and try not to be obsessive about it. My friend doesn't need one and does well without, I like mine and use it all the time, but I have plug-in internet, not wifi. There is some value, too, this reaching out across so many barriers, as you are able to do with your work using youtube and substack.
Yes, I can see that. Like a form of rebellion to "refuse to let the buggers get ya down" for one. Though honestly that can be a struggle sometimes. I have a close friend who always reminds me of pagan and Celtic times like Bealtaine, and Samhain, and what they signify. She's not online, won't even have a computer, or I'd refer you to her (actually I talk about your site with her and she is intrigued).
So much good health information!!! The polytunnel is amazing finally. Now I must find a source for these herbs because I have a need for them asap. We did have nice weather for the weekend because the snow melted the day before. I have new organic plants ready to plant after Mother's day. All these weird holidays are a way to mark the calendar. I finished reading the The Wild Wool Shepherdess book. A fun book with a lot of heart for a life story.
The Generosity of Plants by Rosemary Gladstar is an amazing book newly published. It is full of color and bits of info. plus quotes from many her b fans. A great coffee table book.
Thank you for this video, Terri! I have horsetail in my backyard garden. I have made teas with it in the past, and this video is a great reminder of all its beneficial uses for hubby and myself. 💖💖

It is always good to get together and have fun despite everything, it's another form of rebellion xx

I think we have to regard this technology as a tool, do what we have to and get put ASAP. We don't have WiFi either keep it simple xx
