Looking forward to the cooler weather here in the Northeast USA. Winter is my favorite season! What is everyone else's favorite? (if anyone sees this) I am always curious to know what people like and why.
Winter is just so wonderful to me. Everything is asleep, the sky is clear, and it's like I am walking around a house right before dawn when everyone is still in bed. Also it's ime to make some mushroom soup! (we are the mushroom capital of the USA around here and it is the season!!)
I think my favourite season is Autumn/Fall and then my second favourite is early May when everything begins to green. But really I think I enjoy them all. Love your description of being is the house with everyone in bed. Enjoy your soup! xx
Thank you for the video - this is also a great time of year to start planting a winter garden (I live in a zone colder than Ireland and can harvest all winter long!) Cold tolerant plants will grow now and can be picked throughout winter with either mild protection of a plastic hoop house or cold-frames - all you need to do is keep the frost & snow from touching the plants (Broccoli, Kale. carrots, radish, lettuce, etc.). And there are fewer commercials that need to be blocked on sub-stack as well!
It's best to start them in the fall (between now and November) and harvest throughout the winter - but you might be able to do succession plantings since the climate there is milder than here in Michigan, USA. There are books by Eliot Coleman (He farms like this in Maine, USA) and I've met farmers here in Michigan that do this also - which is how I ended up trying it.
Beautiful photography as always, enjoyable just to watch. You have a wonderful abundance of greenery and growth. Thank you for the reminder to focus on gratitude, something that most of us mired in our everyday crazyness forget too easily.
Of all the channels I watch on YouTube, yours is the best of all of them and the one I so look forward to watching each week.
Nanny Granny, I am so touched by that. It means such a lot to me, thank you so much xx
Same!!

WE are just in the process of building a plastic hoop to give winter sowing a try. Thanks for the encouragement xx

So glad you liked the video. It is easy to forget but it is also easy to get into the habit and it really does make a huge difference. xx

You are an amazing educator and spiritual giver.
The way you think and see, visit things and share with the plants is such a blessing....
