Here are my top 10 uses for vinegar in my house and garden. Actually, I think vinegar is such a wonderful product that there are MORE than ten uses in this video, I just couldn't stop. From deterring kittens from places they shouldn't be, to improving the health of chickens; to cleaning windows and replacing fabric softener; making medicines to improve and keep our health and beauty, vinegar is a must. 1) Clean paint brushes by soaking them in WHITE vinegar overnight and then wash with soap and water. 2)Soak rags in WHITE vinegar and hang them around vegetable or flower beds to deter animals including kittens. 3)Add APPLE CIDER vinegar to chickens' water bowls to improve their overall health 4) Mix WHITE vinegar with same amount of water and massage into dogs fur to repel ticks. 5)Add WHITE vinegar to the final rinse when doing laundry. 6) Dab WHITE vinegar to table legs or other furniture to stop kittens scratching the wood. 7) Add WHITE vinegar to equal quantity of water for washing windows. 8) Use APPLE CIDER vinegar as a gargle for sore throats. 9) Use APPLE CIDER vinegar in warm water as a morning drink to relieve arthritis. AND, this drink with lemon juice added is reputed to help with weight loss. 10) Soak soft cotton cloths or flannels in WHITE vinegar to make a compress for sunburn. 11) Use any kind of vinegar to reduce the pain and spelling of a wasp sting. (Remember V for Vasp and Vinegar and B for bee and bi-carbonate of soda) 12) Dab some APPLE CIDER vinegar on to spots and pimples or cold sores. 13) Use Queen of Hungary Water as a facial toner, as a spray deodorant, in the bath to soften skin, to brush the gums to keep healthy, for itchy skin and much more. Here is the recipe: 2 x tblspns of Lavender - 1 x tblspn Rose Petals - 1 x tblspn Calendula Petals - 2 x Tblspns Rosemary - Half an organic Lemon sliced. Place all ingredients into a clean jar and cover with organic APPLE CIDER vinegar. Leave to infuse for 6 weeks and strain. Dilute with the same amount of fresh spring water or Rosewater and use as suggested. 14) To make a hair rinse, - place Rosemary in a small jar and cover with APPLE CIDER vinegar. Leave to infuse for about a week and then strain. Use neat after washing hair or dilute with same amount of water. 15)To make a Meadowsweet tincture for the digestive system, use fresh or dried herb and chop finely. Place in a clean jar and cover with organic APPLE CIDER vinegar and infuse for 6 weeks. Strain and use the tincture for stomach upsets, indigestion, heartburn, stomach ulcers and other digestive complaints. This can be taken as a digestive before meals - a tsp in a small amount of water or else taken twice per day until issues resolve. If digestive issues need more help, seek a consultation with a herbalist in your area. 16) For Athletes Foot bathe the feet in either type of vinegar and allow to air dry.
