Simple Things

Once upon a time the world was a simple place. People lived in small communities and enjoyed simple pleasures, such as the love of a good man or woman; the sense of satisfaction from a job well done; seeing one’s children thrive; eating fresh, wholesome food grown just yards away and being involved in the lives of others. Whilst life may have been tough at times, there was a common understanding of right and wrong and of pulling together. What happened?
