My vegetable beds have been harvested and I am now preparing them for winter rest. I like to clear the weeds and then put down some kind of mulch, such as seaweed, or sheep’s wool, or rotted manure and then cover with cardboard. Everything rots down over winter helping the soil to become rejuvenated and refreshed and re-fertilised ready for spring time…
