A month or two back I received an email from a documentary film maker. He was making a documentary about herbal healing and ancient healing practices and wondered if he could interview me. Of course, I said yes - any opportunity to spread the word about the herbs!
It turned out that Marijn Poels is quite famous. He began his career making documentaries about human rights issues, global poverty, climate change and other huge problems facing humanity. Then he realised that there were also problems in Europe and that politics was not helping. He began then to make documentaries about the issues that are affecting ordinary people, ordinary households, in the west.
In each of his documentaries, he is a querent - on a quest looking for answers to everything. You can find him at www.marijnpoels.comwww.marijnpoels.com and he is on YouTube and Rumble as well. All of his documentaries are free to watch - he is entirely funded by fans or supporters and so is happy for people to watch his documentaries free of charge. He explains why in the interview I did with him. It was a bit of fun to turn the tables.
On of Marijn’s documentaries was about windmills - the supposed only solution to climate change. We here in Connemara were SO, SO lucky that a wind farm of similar huge size was foiled. Destined for the sea bed just off the coast, can you imagine the damage to the marine environment?
