Here in the west of Ireland it is spring time. We are celebrating the festival of Imbolc and the Dandelion flowers are appearing. The fresh, green, jagged leaves are so familiar and so vibrant; the shaggy, golden, flowers are one of the first splashes of colour. There are so many things to love about Dandelion and yet some people haven’t yet remembered just how wonderful this plant is. Some poor people still think it is an unwanted weed and they should get rid of it. It is such a sad state of affairs when people believe that glyphosate weedkillers are safe to use and that it is necessary to ply them against Dandelions and other of our Green Relations.
